Giving Options

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Wolfson Children’s Hospital cares for more than 50,000 children each year. To ensure we are able to provide state-of-the-art care for children now and well into the future, our Foundation matches our donors’ charitable interests with our hospital’s needs.

The DreamCoat Society

The DreamCoat Society provides funding to support patient care, teaching, research and advocacy. Membership is open to individuals, couples and family foundations giving $10,000 or more to Wolfson Children’s Hospital in a calendar year. Gifts to The DreamCoat Society may be made with cash or stocks.

The DreamCoat name is derived from the special coat each donor receives – a traditional lab coat embroidered with the donor's name on the pocket and splashed with handprints of our children. These coats are presented at a special "coating ceremony."

This special society recognizes donors for not only their philanthropic efforts, but for their intellectual capital. In addition to scheduled donor events such as lunches with physicians and special tours, donors will receive announcements of major program initiatives with opportunities to view new technology and/or observe the latest surgical procedures, first-hand.

Endowments

Our Foundation houses endowed funds and named endowments, designated for a variety of purposes that include research, education, hospital programs, patient care, critical needs for children and assistance for patients lacking resources. A minimum gift of $25,000 will establish a named endowment and, currently, the donor may take up to three years to complete the endowment gift. These funds may be contributed by an individual gift, bequest, corporate gift, memorial or honor gifts or through a special event. You can invest in the future of health care in a number of ways. An explanation of "planned" giving opportunities is provided on the Planned Giving page.
