Wolfson Children's Hospital provides evaluation and comprehensive treatment for infants, children and adolescents with common and complex breathing problems. Areas of expertise include asthma, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, and other lung problems.

Our team is comprised of pediatric pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, nurses and dietitians who work together to provide a continuum of care that involves the patient and family in their own treatment, in the hospital and at home.

Baptist Behavioral Health provides a variety of outpatient and inpatient services for children with developmental and behavioral issues. Our staff includes mental health counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists and other behavioral health specialists who work with the child and family on issues affecting them all.

Wolfson Children’s Hospital, along with partners Nemours Children's Clinic Jacksonville and Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, is the premier provider of pediatric orthopaedic treatment in the Northeast Florida region. Our pediatric orthopaedic surgeons, nurses and staff are experts in their fields and known for their innovative approaches to care and treatment of orthopedic issues. The team provides treatment across a broad spectrum of pediatric problems, from common breaks and sprains to complex musculoskeletal deformities and traumatic injuries.

Our Pediatric Cancer Center, along with our hematology program, have gained national respect for the treatment and care of children and young adults with cancer and non-malignant blood diseases, such as hemophilia and sickle cell anemia. Our multidisciplinary team includes pediatric hematologists and oncologists, along with other medical and surgical experts, specially trained nurses and psychosocial support personnel. We also partner with experienced pathologists, radiation therapists with Baptist Cancer Institute, and other pediatric subspecialties. Physicians affiliated with Nemours Children's Clinic are at the cutting-edge of children's oncology and hematology research as members of the Children's Oncology Group.

Wolfson Children's Hospital offers a full range of services for children and adolescents with diabetes, growth disorders, abnormal thyroid function, disorders of puberty and other endocrine disorders. Our team is comprised of pediatric endocrinologists associated with Nemours Children's Clinic, specially trained nurses, pediatric diabetes educators, and other professionals who work with the family to help ensure effective management of the child's condition. Our Pediatric Diabetes Center serves as a unique resource to children and families managing diabetes and related issues.

Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver are among the most common reasons that children are seen by health care providers. Our physicians include pediatric gastroenterologists who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive disorders, including:

• Gastroesophageal reflux
• Abdominal pain, recurrent vomiting, diarrhea and constipation
• Esophageal diseases
• Inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis)
• Celiac disease
• Intestinal motility disorders
• Liver diseases (biliary atresia, neonatal hepatitis, chronic viral hepatitis)
• Pancreatic diseases (cystic fibrosis, Shwachman-Diamond syndrome, hereditary pancreatitis)

Our pediatric-equipped endoscopy laboratory at Wolfson includes diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, manometry, and portable esophageal pH monitoring. In addition, hydrogen breath testing and H.pylori breath testing are available in the laboratory.

Our pediatric ophthalmologists treat a variety of eye conditions in infants, children and adolescents. These include:

• Retinopathy of prematurity
• Blocked tear ducts and defects
• Misaligned eyes (strabismus)
• Lazy eye (amblyopia)
• Drooping eyelids (ptosis) and defects
• Cataracts and glaucoma
• Tumors inside the eye (retinoblastoma)
• Growths near the eye
• Problems related to genetic diseases or neurological conditions
• Injuries of or near the eye
• Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and other retinal dystrophies

Outpatient services are provided at Nemours Children's Clinic, while inpatient services such as surgery are performed at Wolfson Children's Hospital or in the George Armstrong Outpatient Surgery Center at 1235 San Marco Blvd. in the Baptist Outpatient Center.

Our pediatric infectious disease specialists provide a breadth and depth of team of expertise, ranging from nationally funded clinical research to the treatment and prevention of HIV in children, and from neonatal infection to infections in immunocompromised hosts. Our physicians have received a number of awards and have been nationally recognized in the areas of HIV infection and other infectious disease management protocols.

Wolfson Children’s Hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for the entire range of disorders of the kidneys, bladder, and urinary and genital tracts. Nephrologists with Nemours Children's Clinic provide a wide range of services to patients with kidney disease, from diagnosing and treating mild conditions to providing chronic dialysis at the Donna M. Hall Children's Dialysis Program. Our urologists are experts in minimally invasive surgery for urinary and genital tract conditions, including the use of the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System.

Wolfson Children's Hospital, supported by Baptist Medical Center Downtown, provides a full range of newborn services from full-term healthy babies to those who are premature or critically ill. More than 5,000 babies are born at Baptist Health hospitals each year, where we offer the comfort of family-friendly amenities, combined with the most advanced technology for the care of mother and baby. This includes high-risk obstetrics, a Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy, a newborn nursery and a Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit.
