Sports and Orthopaedic Program
Our Sports and Orthopaedic Program provides family-centered, pediatric rehabilitative care. The focus is on the health and treatment of middle and high school age children who have orthopaedic conditions and injuries. The preteen and teenage patients work exclusively with pediatric trained occupational and physical therapists. Individual treatment plans, linked to stage of maturity and style of learning, are carried out in an upbeat environment in the company of peers. Family members, a major source of comfort and support, are encouraged to provide input, and are kept abreast of the processes that aid the child in recovering. "Homework" and frequent meetings between the patient, family and staff are integral components of successful outpatient treatment. The goals of the Sports and Orthopaedic Program include:
